Women Against Diabetes
Women Against Diabetes (WAD) operates as a DBA of Veterans Against Diabetes Inc., a veteran-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. WAD operates under the legal structure, EIN, and nonprofit status of Veterans Against Diabetes.
WAD was created to expand the VAD mission by providing a dedicated space focused on the unique needs of women, families, caregivers, wellness, and community support.
Through education, outreach, advocacy, wellness initiatives, peer support, and connection to trusted community resources, Women Against Diabetes strengthens the unified mission of Veterans Against Diabetes while giving women a distinct voice and place within that mission.
